Seattle: The Beginning of a Fabulous Month

Most of you who actually check this blog (I can't imagine who does with how infrequently I post!) probably know about the exciting month of June Team Jessicanny has been and will be having. All of this excitement started with our weekend getaway to Seattle to visit Allie and Drew! Allie has been one of my best friends since about first grade, and she and her husband Drew moved to Seattle about a year and a half ago. Danny and I have been wanting to visit them for a while now, and that chance came about a week ago! Allie and Drew were such a great host and hostess, and we had such a good time exploring the area with them. Too bad it made us miss living by them even more though!
Friday morning Allie took us on a ferry to Bainbridge, and this is the view of downtown from the ferry
Later that day we went to the to of Columbia tower to see the view from above. It is higher than the space needle, and much cheaper! Following is one of the beautiful views from the top.
A picture of the three of us in the top of the tower, as poor Drew had to work Saturday morning we started the day at the Experience Music Project, a museum dedicated to popular music, especially rock music and the bands and styles originating in the Seattle area. Below Danny and I are strumming our invisible electric guitars outside the museum
Below the Space Needle
Danny and I trying to take down the Fremont Troll, a concrete piece of public art below a bridge in Seattle's Fremont area
The view from a park we visited
Another picture with the view from the park. You can see downtown Seattle to our left and the Space Needle to our right
Danny and I playing at Gas Works Park. This was an awesome park which used to be the site of a gasification plant. When they turned it into a park they kept some of the structures from the plant, painted them, and incorporated them to be play structures for children. Such a fun and unique place!
The whole gang at the park. Thanks Allie and Drew for being such a great host and hostess! We'll miss you!
